Version: 0.12 (svn) (using KDE KDE 3.5.0) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux I remember in an earlier version of kopete, if I saw someone with a cool emoticon I could add it to mine, and it'd appear in the list after the smileys. I had a couple of cute ones... but I don't use them very often, and at some point I noticed they weren't there any more. it seems nearly all the features for adding & using custom emoticons have just vanished. I found mine still exist in a 'custom' entry in the config, so it's possible to use them *instead* of normal smileys - but that means I don't get to see any normal emoticons until I change back. kinda defeats the purpose. so, what happened to the custom emoticon stuff? why can't I use them normally any more? I'm hoping it was simply an accident and not some compilcated problem.
Created attachment 16238 [details] Import emoticons in a custom overlay I created this patch, which enables a custom emoticons overlay in the ~custom directory under emoticons. I also created some code to directly import incoming emoticons into this directory. Hope you like this :)
I noticed that this: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127723 is the same bug. I attached a patch there to solve the problem anyway.
Sorry, the last comment wasn't for this one..

moving this wish to the WLM plugin Kopete team can you review this patch ?
IIRC in KDE 4.2 WLM plugin supports custom emoticons and it also sends it. If I'm wrong please reopen.
