Description Valentin Kuznetsov 2006-02-27 04:17:22 UTC
Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
Compiler: gcc 4.0.2
OS: Linux

Hi, once I switched to KDE 3.5 (kmail 1.9.1) I notice very strange behaviour.
First, I had folder "~" which duplicate all entries of my IMAP folders, then I found in bugzilla that I need to delete <Empty> namespace as I did. Now I have:
Personal: #mh/,#mhinbox
Other users:
Shared: #ftp/,#news.,#public/,#shared/

to be honest I don't know what those means (and personally I don't want to know), but I'll be glad to learn. Anyway, the problem I see is the following. I'm very often switch my networks (wireless world). So I stop/start my kmail. When it starts up sometimes I see my inbox as "INBOX" and sometimes I see it as "inbox". What's more puzzling, if I got "INBOX", I can quit kmail, restart it and I'll get "inbox" and vice versa. It's annoying. May be it's related to namespaces???
Any clue, explanations?
Thanks.
Valentin.

I have got the same problem! Running KDE 3.5.3 at the moment. This bug is in there for at least half a year.

I would just add that I had this same problem occasionally, but it went away around the time when I have upgraded to 3.5.4 at least it did not occur for quite some time now.

Did the problem disappear for the original reporter as well after upgrading?

Does anyone has trouble with this?
Comment 5 Arne Schmitz 2007-03-04 19:37:55 UTC
I think the problem disappeared for me, too. Might also have something to do with the fact that I don't use DIMAP at the moment anymore...

Yes, problem went away while switch to new version.

Seems to be a void issue by now.
