this is because the math applet is just using the (rather limited) C functions for these things and not a "proper" math library. this has also been reported in another fashion. essentially, if someone came along and rewrote the applet to use a math lib versus the built in C functions we might get somewhere. personally, i'm not interested in doing that myself. i'm sure someone else will be eventually. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 101699 ***
