Version: 3.5.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.1-0ubuntu7 dapper) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-16-686 On some websites, if you scroll down a bit and click a link, konqueror starts to load, scrolls the current page completely up to the top, and then displays the new page. This was introduced not a long time ago, if I recall correctly, maybe with 3.4 -> 3.5 but I'm not completely sure. This is annoying after a while and therefore I report it as a bug. Correct behavior should be not to scroll up, but instead transition to the new page smoothly, like for example in all other browsers I know of. E.g. you can observe it on heise.de (German IT-newsticker) http://www.heise.de/newsticker/foren/go.shtml?read=1&msg_id=9927741&forum_id=93614 If you scroll down a bit, then click on 'Beitrag >>' you should see konqueror scrolling up, and then displaying the next page.
I can't reproduce this behaviour with the page given on r588250
This bug seems to be fixed. I haven't seen it anymore in several weeks/months of heavy konqueror usage.
Works for reporter
That's funny because I thought it was introduced with 3.5.6, I didn't see it before, I hesitated to report this one until I find 100% way to reproduce it. I gave up because I can't -- it happens one time of two :-) Anyway, this still happens, I checked the page Christian gave, and it "works" there, but only for the first time (of given link). So, to reproduce it (I HOPE) visit this page, scroll to the end, note the links (at right), Impressum, Kontakt. Click on one of them, the page will be scrolled up, and then new page will be loaded (my connection: ~10KB/s !! so slow your down if you have faster). Please, reopen this bug report.
Reopening for reevaluation.
Can't reproduce with r658072 on FreeBSD

Philip, how fast is your connection? Maksim, in other words, if I still experience this scroll issue the only reason could be it is packager fault?
