Description Hans Meier 2006-02-24 13:56:26 UTC
Version: 1.4-beta1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Everytime I start amaroK, a message appears that a new portable media device has been detected. This device is my hard disk, which is not a portable media device, therefore it should not be listed as such.

I'm sorry - the website was not responding and I was pressing the submit button a couple of times for that reason.
Comment 7 Martin Aumueller 2006-03-08 08:16:39 UTC
It is intentional that your hard disk is reported as a portable media device, as amaroK is unable to distinguish hard disks and portable UMS players. However, if you choose 'Don't handle' when asked this question, amaroK should never bother you again.
Doesn't it work that way?
Comment 8 Hans Meier 2006-03-08 19:36:21 UTC
Oh yeah, that's how it's working - I'd never have found this!
