Description Benoit DUMONT 2006-02-19 14:51:56 UTC
Version: 0.8.0 (using KDE 3.4.2, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-12mdksmp

Inside the slideshow, I would like to be able to switch to the next/previous image using the mouse wheel.
When using page down / page up, it also cancel the OpenGL effects. I would like to keep the special effects of the slideshow but being able to managed by myself (using keys pg down, pg up or even mouse wheel) the rhythm of the display.

This report is relevant of kipi slideshow plugin. Please move it to kipi-plugins B.K.O entry.

Fully agree with this request - manual changing of slide is more common than a fixed time change I think.
Also - and related - the I don't believe the speed of the OpenGL effects is adjustable eg. it would be nice if the the rate of the fade in/out could be adjusted. It seems very slow at the moment.

Benoit,

This file still valid using kipi-plugins 0.1.6 (KDE3) or 0.2.0 (KDE4) ?

I believe this wish is still valid. While not everyone is having it, it comes up here and there at places where viewer/slide show software is discussed. I personally would very much like to have this feature and I would believe that it is only a small change to the code?

Scrolling through the images with the mousewheel already works, but the slideshow will stop then. We could add an option to the advanced settings page that if scrolling through the list manually, the slideshow will not stop and continue.
This should be easy to add, I will review this today.

Hi, my issue is not so much with the
mouse wheel but with being able to advance
manually to the next slide WITH a transition
like e.g. cross dissolve (but this could then
be the same for all slides). I would hope this
to be a small change to advanced slide Show
or the OpenGL viewer.
Best regards, Markus

I checked with kipi plugins 1.9 (std with Mandriva 2011) and the mousse wheel is working fine but the manual swithching is not.
Maybe someone can have a look on a more recent version.
