Description Dustin Widmann 2006-02-15 01:31:07 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Perhaps Konqueror could implement a cache policy in which images and other media are cached, and the pages themselves are reloaded. That worked well for me especially so in Opera in the past, but I can't seem to find a similar option in Konqueror. Setting it to 'keep in sync' slows things down for me dramatically. On the other hand, using the cache wherever possible speeds things up a great deal, but can cause problems with some dynamic pages. Perhaps call the new policy "Keep images/media cached"?

Better -- current policies should be splitted. Media policy and page policy. So for the former one you could set "use cache whenever it is possible" and for the latter one -- keep in sync.
