Description 2006-02-13 01:18:32 UTC
Version: 3.4 (using KDE 3.5.1, Mandriva Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-15mdk

First, kompare doesnt have/support drag & drop.

Second, if i use kompare, close it, then logout, when i login appears windows saying about kompare cant find URL.

Third, in kompare when clicking to open file and put a path in first field and then click to select the patch for second field, the first field will appear with the same path of the second field in wich i clicked to choose a file.
this will not happen if i always first click to select the first field path, wether if is already there or not, is always needed to click to select first field, else it will stay with the path of the second field.

Was this received?
Comment 2 Otto Bruggeman 2006-02-16 17:37:40 UTC
It is in the system, don't worry we will not forget about it. Lack of time is preventing us from immediately looking into it.

Thanks for reporting the bug.
Comment 3 Winfried Dobbe 2006-02-16 20:13:18 UTC
In addition to what Otto said: please submit wish requests separately from bug reports.
Also the Kompare development branch will probably not be released before KDE 4.0, so I'm afraid you will need to have some patience.
Comment 4 2006-02-17 00:40:36 UTC
What wishes did i requested? These are all bugs.
And the next kompare release is just going to be released when kde-4.0 is?
Well kde-4 still is going to take a year to be released...

Regarding "please submit wish requests separately from bug reports.", it's not just that wishes and bugs should be separate, they should all be in separate reports, whether bugs or wishes!
This is because can't track three issues at once in one bugreport -- please re-file these as separate bugreports so that they can be discussed individually. I'll reject this bug since it won't be needed when we have the separeate bugreports.

As for bugs vs. wishes, the first one (drag and drop support) is definately wishlist. The second and third are probably bugs.

Cheers,
Jeff
