Description Christian D. 2006-02-09 17:04:26 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.1-0ubuntu3 dapper)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-14-686

Akregator sometimes/often crashes on exit after heavy usage. Only happens after downloading at least some feeds.

Comment 1 Frank Osterfeld 2006-02-09 17:14:35 UTC
Confirmed, I also had such crashes (2-3 times in some weeks), using Kubuntu Breezy. No idea, what causes them though, and no Akregator symbol in the bt.

Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1".
`system-supplied DSO at 0xffffe000' has disappeared; keeping its symbols.

I cleaned up some static QString object in RSS::FileRetriever (using a static QString* instead), which can cause crashes on shutdown according to David.
And I haven't had this crash for some time now. Maybe that fixed it, don't know for sure...

Please report if you have this bug with SVN 3.5 branch >= 516072 or upcoming 3.5.2.
Comment 8 Frank Osterfeld 2006-04-15 09:21:40 UTC
This should be fixed by now.
