Version:           1.5-beta1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.1-0ubuntu0breezy1 )
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-10-k7

When I type KWord 1.5 Beta red and blue lines appear between the words and the characters. Just look at the screenshot.

Known bug (only happens when compiling with --enable-final), already fixed in subversion,
please download an updated package. Sorry for the blooper.

You can also apply http://kdab.net/~dfaure/kotext-enable-final.diff  to koffice/lib/kotext and rebuild.
