Description rschulz 2006-01-29 17:19:44 UTC
Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Inadvertently striking the Insert key toggles the KMail composer into overwrite mode. This mode change cannot be disabled and is not accompanied by any kind of visual feedback.

Two wishes:

1) Provide the ability to disable this mode entirely (as, e.g., Eudora provides)
2) Provide visual feedback in the lower margin along with the Column: and Line: indicators
Comment 1 S. Burmeister 2006-01-29 17:34:08 UTC
3) Change text-cursor from a thin line to a square, as it is done in OpenOffice for example.

I think this is a KDE-wide issue.

Aye, KDE-wide issue.
