Month view, which is the view I prefer, allows you to create new events, but only full-day events. It's impossible to change the duration of events in the dialog that appears after double clicking an empty area in the month view.

I can understand that 1 day is the default, but I don't see why we shouldn't be able to change that in the dialog.

No such problem in new month view.
