Description 2006-01-11 06:53:58 UTC
Version: v0.8.5 (using KDE 3.5.0, Mandriva Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-14mdk

Im using a yesterday svn snapshot, revision:496215
When i try to download anything in konqueror, kget shows an error messages saying some about the filename isnt that one and doesnt save with the correct filename the file in question.
Comment 1 Thiago Macieira 2006-01-12 03:26:02 UTC
Please paste here the exact error message. In English would be better.
Comment 2 Gabriel A. Devenyi 2006-02-07 02:05:53 UTC
Malformed URL: test.jpg

This seems to happen when the download is initiated from a web address other than the file being downloaded, ie download.php

This end result is that the file saved is named download.php, although it has the correct contents
Comment 3 Gabriel A. Devenyi 2006-02-12 00:27:36 UTC
This is incredibly annoying, a *lot* of sites use scripting for downloads rather than direct linking, meaning I lose a lot of filenames I have to manually rename.
Comment 4 2006-03-09 13:37:17 UTC
Im using kdelibs revision 516605 and kdenetwork revision 513363 and i see that this bug continues existing.
Isnt possible for someone fix this?
Comment 5 2006-09-18 18:43:27 UTC
This bug continues being valid and im using kde-3.5.4 from branch_3.5 revision 586084
Comment 6 Shriramana Sharma 2006-09-21 11:32:39 UTC
Will the OP or someone who really understands this problem please rename the bug description? "problems downloading with kget" is really vague.
Comment 7 2006-11-02 05:46:21 UTC
It would be more interisting if someone could care about this problem and could finally fix it.
Comment 8 Carsten Pfeiffer 2006-11-02 13:42:48 UTC
Can you please provide a URL where this happens?
Comment 9 Mikael Eriksson 2006-12-08 15:32:18 UTC
I have this problem as well. If using Firefox and Flash Got plugin or if copy the download link and paste it into kget. When clicking on the link in Konqueror it seems to work fine.

On this page there is a link to a jpeg picture, kget saves it as "index.php" when copy paste or using Flash Got: http://www.box.net/public/446g5n9r1l

The download link is: http://www.box.net/index.php?rm=box_v2_download_shared_file&file_id=f_28665342

SVN commit 783825 by lappelhans:

Parse the urls thrown by Konqueror correctly.
Make the destination-box editable.
