Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.3) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages When exporting the contact list, if Kopete doesn't tell Kontact to set the AIM screenname to the 'primary screenname', then the exported buddy list will be almost useless! For example if you try to export your buddy list in CSV format, you get no screennames at all (quite problematic if, say, you've given everyone in your buddy list a nickname). Kopete only exports the 'primary screenname', which is blank because Kopete only adds an SN to a Kontact contact's arbitrary-length list of SNs. Fix: Kopete should have a checkbox when exporting, which is checked by default, which says "set AIM screenname to default if none exists" or something similar. Estimated time to fix: trivial (a wishlist should also be filed with Kontact: Kontact should export all AIM screennames, not just the default one)
I'm not sure to understand correctly the bug. I fail to see the link between AIM and adressbook > Estimated time to fix: trivial If it's so trivial, please suggest a patch :-)
