Description Miguel Angel Lopez 2005-12-28 12:24:32 UTC
Version: 1.1.2 (using KDE 3.4.3, Kubuntu Package 4:3.4.3-0ubuntu1 )
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-9-386

In the Akregator news list could be changed the name of the source by the icon and put in the first place. I don't need to see "slashdot.com" to know it if there's the icon, when what I want to see are the title of the news.

Sorry, this is a wish for Akregator, not for Kontact
Comment 2 Teemu Rytilahti 2005-12-30 01:29:51 UTC
Hmm, Akregator shows you the favicon of the site before the name on the feedlist. Isn't this what you want? If not, please be more specific.

Just what I think he wants to say:

If you have selected a feed folder, articles of several feeds get merged into the article list, with an additional column "feed". He wants this column to get moved to the left side of the list and the entries to be replaced by their favicon.
Comment 4 Eckhart Wörner 2005-12-31 01:42:41 UTC
Changed bug title, please complain if that was not what you intended to say.
Comment 5 Miguel Angel Lopez 2005-12-31 14:33:07 UTC
Thanks. That was exacly what I wanted to say :)
Comment 6 Stefan Mueller 2006-04-29 11:06:45 UTC
Ah...
1. Select root folder
2. Article list has now 1 extra column (to show the feed):
   e.g.
   Article FEED LONG redundand Date
Your Google Base Att... | Google Blogoscoped |2006-04-28 20:24

suggestion
a) Standard List, with short Date

   Article FEED NICE pixel-saving Date
Your Google Base Att... | Google Blogoscoped |20:24 yesterday

b) Article List with FAVICON enabled, FAVICON put in first Column

FEED Article NICE smart DATE for display
FAVICON Your Google Base Attributes 20:24 yesterday

Date could be made shorter so you have in most cases only hours and minutes but not the ever same year month day.
Comment 7 Frank Osterfeld 2006-09-06 22:11:05 UTC
The favicon could be put in there, the problem is it would partially conflict with state flags like the "Important" flag.
Comment 8 Miguel Angel Lopez 2006-09-07 01:01:55 UTC
There's no problem with the state flags if there are two icon columns (they don't take too much space).

On 5.15.1 the column still shows the name and not the icon.
