Description Tony Parsons 2005-12-27 00:07:43 UTC
Version: 0.7 (using KDE 3.3.2, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8)
OS: Linux (i586) release 2.6.10

Digikam does not recognize the Olympus FE-100 model digital camera. After a couple of tries, the application locks-up. Maybe the model has not been p;aced into your data recognition and updates are required. Running apt-get update does not resolve this. This model is not listed in your list of cameras to add.

Thank you. By using the Add Camera - "USB massStorage Device" I noted an
additional icon appeared on the desktop indicating that the camara was
added as a storage device (in this case the icon was called, "hard disc
sda1". Using the "mount" command for this device, the camera was ready
for use by DigiKam, and I was able to load my photos.
