Description Philippe Rigault 2005-12-19 16:55:53 UTC
Version: 3.5 (using KDE 3.5.0, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 20050721 (Red Hat 3.4.4-2)
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.12-1.1381_FC3

How to reproduce:

1. Open Konqueror
2. Type man:wget in location bar
3. Konqueror starts displaying the man page, but the rendering stops halfway through, the progress bar and loading icon being indefinitely stuck. CPU usage goes to the roof.

Even after hitting 'Stop loading the document' or killing konqueror, the kio_man process created stays alive and keeps eating all CPU. It sometimes dies by itself, but I have had cases where I had to kill the process manually to get rid of it.

This is a regression in KDE-3.5, as it worked fine with KDE-3.4.2.
