Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources
OS:                Linux

Hello,

this is not wish but a patch for the http io slave and KHTML. It features:

* Improved offline browsing
* Improved browsing for low-bandwidth connections.
* Improved detection of cross-domain requests
* Referer-Urls are not send cross-domain (configurable)

This patch is also available on kde-apps.org. The patch is against
version 3.5.0. Feedback welcome.

Please forward it to the KHTML developers, because the patch affects both the
http slave and KHTML.

Greets,

Please try to get it into KDE 3.5.4.
I'm using it for quite some time now and it works very well!

3.5.3 is out and I'd like to open the branch again as we used to.
Message freeze, docu freeze, feature freeze - all that are to be lifted
for some limited time.

June 6th: Opening 3.5 branch slightly - features and docu changes
    need explicit approval, but are generally allowed if following the rules
    we introduced before[1]
July 10th: Freeze again
July 24th: Tagging KDE 3.5.4

Any objections?

Greetings, Stephan

Matthias Grimrath: yes, please email kfm-devel@kde.org with these patches so we can get this in for kde4 at least. having it sit here is not really doing as many people as it could any good =)

What a shame this patch sat idle for 12 years. Matthias, if you're still around and interested, would you be willing to rebase it and submit it to KDE's new patch infrastructure, http://phabricator.kde.org/? If you do, I will make sure it gets seen.
