Version: 0.7.3 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) OS: Linux "AlbumShaper" has a very neat way to correct leaning verticals and sloping horizontals. I was even able to straighten up the Tower of Pisa with this tool! The user simply drags a line along the misaligned feature and the software does the rest including cropping. Could this tool be adapted/adopted as a plugin for "Digikam"?
Can you provide any screenshots ? Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier
Created attachment 13891 [details] Green line drawn using "Correct tilt" tool in AlbumShaper Clcking and dragging the "Correct tilt" tool along a misaligned vertical is all that is needed to correct that vertical*. See result in my second attachment. * horizontals can be corrected in just the same way with the same tool.
Created attachment 13892 [details] Result of using "Correct tilt" tool in AlbumShaper The tilt on the wall of the ruin has been corrected by one stroke of the mouse and the image has been automatically cropped to the original aspect ratio of the image. The green arrow under "Frame" is the "Correct tilt" tool. This is greyed out when being used as in the first attachment.
Note that this is similar to the horizontal line free rotation wish, http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114225
This is so similar to Bug 114225 there is no sense to keep two separate wishes. Having one way of doing this would be nice but two is insane. By marking one of them duplicate I am favoring none, 114225 is lower number. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 114225 ***
Fixed with bug #114225
