Description Malte S. Stretz 2005-12-07 12:56:29 UTC
Version: 1.9 (using KDE 3.5.0, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-gentoo-r4

This is a weird one: I want to save my drafts in a folder called 'Drafts' on my IMAP server. But I can't select that very folder.

In the identity editor the drafts folder is set to "Local Folders/drafts". I click the folder icon and can select any other folder... except the one called "Online Folder/Drafts". When I try to select that the, the button "New Subfolder" becomes grayed out and the selection in the list is just a dotted rectangle, not a filled anymore. Pressing ok keeps the old value. I can choose any other folder I want but not this one.

Perhaps this folder is readonly or marked as no-content. Can you copy
mails in that folder?
Comment 2 Malte S. Stretz 2005-12-08 09:52:55 UTC
Yes, I can (even though KMail crashed without a bt one time I did so, looked like that Search Folder crash I reported earlier).
Comment 3 Carsten Burghardt 2005-12-13 17:33:46 UTC
The folder is probably marked as readonly in your kmailrc. You could change
that flag but this is only set when the server reports it. Can you create an
ethereal log that shows a folder listing of that account (e.g. start kmail,
start etheral and then expand the account)?

I sent you a packet dump via PM.
Comment 5 Malte S. Stretz 2005-12-25 17:16:55 UTC
I removed the whole section in the config file and restarted KMail, now that folder behaves fine again. The old settings are below, they are different than for other folders of mine (like PutRepliesInSameFolder) and why is NoContent false if the folder doesn't contain any mail? And, as you can see, the folder was not flagged ReadOnly.

The protocol you sent me also shows that the folder is not flagged as
readonly. I have no idea what was wrong. The nocontent means if the folder
_can_ have content.

Hasn't happened to again, assuming its FIXED.
