Description Malte S. Stretz 2005-12-07 12:38:51 UTC
Version: 1.9 (using KDE 3.5.0, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-gentoo-r4

This happened now the second time to me: KMail crashed after an IMAP operation (no drkonqi appeared) and when I restarted it, it didn't recognize the INBOX folder as the inbox. E.g. the default folder icon is displayed and its all uppercase.

This happened after I tried to create a folder below the inbox which failed; that caused the KMail crash. From the debug log it seems like this is related to my search folders. It's a dovecot IMAP server.

When I shut down KMail and start it again, everything is fine again.

I have the debug log available and can send ti to anybody who needs it but I don't want to attach it as it contains private data.

Exact same behavior after a crash of kmail 1.9.1 from kde-redhat kde 3.5.1 packages on fc4 and RHEL3.

Still same behavior after a crash of kmail 1.9.1 from kde-redhat kde 3.5.2 packages on fc4/fc5 and RHEL3. In the last few days, I have seen this problem also when kmail is shutdown normally and no crash occurred.

Changed severity to "crash". I hope to have selected only the right bugs (>100) :-)
Comment 4 Malte S. Stretz 2009-04-26 20:20:20 UTC
Haven't seen this on KDE 4.
