Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Set your status to [something]->New Away Message, and then cancel the resulting dialog box.

Now if you try to do it again you will see that "New Away Message" is actually a toggleable menu item and is checked. Clicking it just unchecks it. This is weird and wrong.
