Description pierre 2005-11-28 00:12:02 UTC
Version: v0.8.5 (using KDE 3.5.0, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.0-0ubuntu0breezy1 breezy)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-10-686

Hi

When I'm downloading for instance some ISOs from a HTTP server at school, the speed can reach 5MB/s. And when that's reached, KGet, kio_file and kio_http starts eating a lot of CPU.
That's not the same bug as #108269 one for exemple, since "my" bug can occur with only one download.

Thanks

Please try to download the same files with Konqueror. Do you have also a high CPU load then?
Comment 2 pierre 2005-11-29 21:13:35 UTC
Yes, I've got a high CPU load with konqueror too :/
So I suppose that's not a KGet bug, but instead a KIO bug ?

hmm .... this bug is old - but the symptoms are the same as

KDE 3 is not longer maintained. Feel free to reopen this ticket if this issue exists in the current stable KDE 4 version. Thanks for the report.
