Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc 3.4.4-2 OS: Linux After compiling and installing aKode I couldn't compile kdemultimedia 3.5-RC1 without adding the following links /usr/lib/libsoundserver_idl.so /usr/lib/libkmedia2_idl.so /usr/lib/libartsflow.so /usr/lib/libartsflow_idl.so /usr/lib/libmcop.so
Those are created by default.
Not on my 3.5-RC1 installation, I was able to compile kdemultimedia before installing aKode.
did you compile aKode from sources as well? And you're telling me that its installation removed those .so files?
Thiago is right, all those (sym)links should have been created when you installed arts(-1.5.0)
I'm sure this problem has gone away by now. But do reopen if you still experience it with KDE 3.5.4.
