Description LuRan 2005-11-16 16:43:14 UTC
Version: svn snapshot (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 4.0.2 with gentoo patches
OS: Linux

After I updated to 1.4 source, the first time I started amarok, it rescanned all my collections, everything is fine, since I convert all the id3v2 tags to utf-8. however, if I rescan collection again by select the "rescan" menu item, some tags will mess up, some of those tags contain some Chinese or Japanese characters. I'm pretty sure my tags are OK since I test them in the 1.3 source.

sorry I forget to add that not all the non-latin characters messed up, just about half of them, that's the most strange part :(

some more information: 1)if I first remove all directories from the collection then add them and rescan, everything back to normal. 2)if I run rescan multiple times, the mess character will increase every time I run it.
