Version: 1.2.0 (using KDE 3.5 (RC1) Level "a" , SUSE 10.0 UNSUPPORTED) Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-15-smp When trying to resize columns in the process table, they will stay at the new size for a up to a second and then they revert to the previous size instead of remaining small. Widening of columns does not appear to be affected. I personally have only experienced this in KDE 3.5beta2 and 3.5RC1 after upgrading from 3.4.x, but I have heard (in #kde) of it happening on at least one system with 3.4.2.
I can confirm this bug, but to point out: this happens only when you resize the columns to a smaller size. System: Suse 10.0, KDE 3.5rc1
Created attachment 14116 [details] Column widths with KDE 3.5 and 3.4.3
See attachment (id=14116) Whereas in KDE 3.4.3 when you made a column to narrow it jumped back just wide enough to show the column entries, in KDE 3.5 the columns are much too wide to begin with and jump back to that width.
KDE 3.5.1 compiled from sources: still the same symptom ...
KDE 3.5.2 compiled from sources: still the same symptom ...
KDE 3.5.2 from gentoo split ebuilds, and I'm still getting it. I'm also getting it in ktorrent 2.0beta1.
This also happens on KDE 3.5.3. Perhaps it is a configuration issue, because I haven't seen it in KDE 3.5.2. Jens
Concerning the instance of this bug in KTorrent's infowidget, it appears to have disappeared in KTorrent 2.1beta1 (although it still shows up in ksysguard 1.2.0 (KDE 3.5.5)).
This is fixed for KDE4. It would be more difficult to fix for kde3, and so probably won't be fixed there. sorry.

This really can't be fixed in kde3. Closing as wontfix sorry. In kde4 works fine :)
Strange, because it _used_ to work fine in previous KDE3 versions ...
