Description Dik Takken 2005-11-13 17:13:39 UTC
Version: 0.8.0-Beta2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
OS: Linux

The default configuration of DigiKam looks quite feature-less because (almost) all plugins are disabled by default. IMHO it would be a good idea to tell the user about all the functionality that DigiKam has to offer, by means of a first-start setup dialog. Using this dialog, the user can select which plugins should be loaded by default when DigiKam is loaded for the first time.

For many users, digging in the configuration options is not the first thing they do when trying a new application. They might never discover all of the plugins that DigiKam has to offer.

The same is true for Showfoto.

This problem have been fixed into stable and trunk svn branch. All plugins from setup list are now enable by default at the first run
