Description Damir Perisa 2005-11-08 01:22:29 UTC
Version: 0.12.7 (using KDE 3.4.3, Arch Linux)
Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.14-ARCH

when i burn an audio-cd and i want to make a nice cover for it (some of my friends have a band and they often record to OGG and we then burn it to a CD), i have to re-type the title names and track-numbers.

k3b does not offer a nice frontend for designing covers and labels, but glabels does. i do not want k3b to re-invent label creating. it would not make sense. but what can be very helpful is to have in k3b an option to copy e.g. all Titles, Artist, Track-number to the clipboard. then, one can easily import them to another application without having to retype them and check, if the order on the burned cd and the one on the cover is correct.

the best format (i can think of - most useful to me) is to copy the following to the clipboard:

$track-number \t $artist \t $title \t $length

for the selected tracks (right-click-menu option) or whole cd, if no track selected.

the "\t" means tabulator

add this to the cover editor wish (there is also a cd content list wish, if you feel it is more appropriate)
