Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.92) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux In kopete's preferences one can edit the xsl-file for a certain theme. However, most people are not familiar with xml or putting in colours as #123456. Still those people might not like the colours of a certain theme and would like to change them. In the end a theme is at least 50% arrangement of buddy-icon, text and frames and not primarily about the colours. Hence it would be very useful, if one could change the colours of a theme without having to edit the file. The Edit button would not open the xsl-file but pop up a simple dialogue that lists the parameters available, e.g.: Incoming front [button to chose colour] Incoming back [] Outgoing front [] Action front [] Action back [] Internal front [] Time front [] The button to chose the colour would be the same as in kcontrol for the desktop's background colour. At the bottom of the colour-dialogue, the advanced button would open the xsl-file in an editor, for those users familiar with xml and css that would like to edit the theme and not just modify its colours. This way everybody can use the theme one likes with the colours one likes, or needs in the case of e.g. colour-blind people.
XSL themes have gone away in Kopete 0.12. It should be easy enough to add a variant to the current theme format to do this. Closing.
