Description Martin Beck 2005-11-06 12:01:29 UTC
Version: 3.4.2-12 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Mac OS X (Fink) Packages
Compiler: fink list gcc gives: "i gcc3.3 3.3-1 [virtual package representing the gcc 3.3 compiler]"
OS: Other

I'm using MacOS 10.3.9 on an Apple PowerBook G4 and older versions of korganizer were working without problems.

Recently I updated korganizer with fink to the newest available version 3.4.2-12 (compiled from source).
Now, korganizer doesn't work any more:

Trying to launch it in a terminal window in X11 returns just one line:
PowerBookG4:~ mb$ /sw/bin/korganizer
Bus error

I tried to debug korganizer with gdb:
PowerBookG4:~ mb$ gdb
GNU gdb 5.3-20030128 (Apple version gdb-309) (Thu Dec 4 15:41:30 GMT 2003)

(gdb) exec-file /sw/bin/korganizer

(gdb) run korganizer
Starting program: /sw/bin/korganizer korganizer
Reading symbols for shared libraries .++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++........................................................... done

Program received signal EXC_BAD_ACCESS, Could not access memory.
0x02da4cf4 in QString::QString(QString const&) ()
(gdb)

In the graphical version of the debugger DDD I typed "FILE /sw/bin/korganizer" and got the error message:
"/Users/mb/rungpg.c: no such file or directory"
(I'm not sure if this is a problem of Korganizer itself or of the debugger application!)

Best regards from Germany,

Martin

Martin,

Of course you are now using much more modern versions of KOrganizer and are very happy. Right?

Can I close this?
