Version: svn snapshot from 3.5 branch (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: gcc 4.0.2 with gentoo patches and visibility disabled OS: Linux I don't know how to describe this bug clearly, all I know is I updated kde a few day before and I can no longer login to forums.gentoo.org, even if I fill the username and password, and the page does not provide something like "password is not right". However, I have not encountered similar bug with other forum. And I can successfully login forums.gentoo.org with opera.
I am also seeing this issue. Happened, again, right after installing beta2 of 3.5. Now running rc1 and the behaviour is still there. I've tried deleting the cookie, no dice. The page looks like it's going to log in, and then all of a sudden it's back at the index without having logged in. I wonder if it's a JavaScript issue?
phpBB (software run at forums.gentoo.org) recently changed their login procedure during the update from 2.0.17 to 2.0.18. The login cookie now contains the session ID and old cookies became invalid. Many people reported [1] the same problem, but clearing *all* forums.gentoo.org cookies will fix it. The problem is not with any specific version of KDE/konqueror, if it is a bug at all. Yes. This worked well for me. I missed 2 cookie entries when I cleared mine. I can now log into the gentoo forums.
thanks for the hint, problem solved ;)
