When one tries to filter the browser's showings using a Cyrillic string, it appears that it is case sensitive. As I see from bug #104610 the problem seems to be fixed for the MySQL backend with a correction of its configuration. As MySQL is relatively hard to install and maintain, I think that many people will appreciate case-insensitive search with the SQLite backend as well.
