Version: 1.3.3 (using KDE 3.4.1, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5-20050130 (Gentoo 3.3.5.20050130-r1, ssp-3.3.5.20050130-1, pie-8.7.7.1) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-gentoo-r6 When transferring songs to my ipod (4th generation, ipod photo) everything seems to work fine, the songs get copied and takes up space on the ipod, but the list of songs is truncated to 256 songs (previously 6000+ songs). I can read the data and recreate the itunesdb from within gtkpod, and the songs copied from amarok are on the device.. I have this problem on 2 seperate systems, both running amarok 1.3.3 Every time I try to transfer songs, no matter how few or many, the ipod ends up with a song list of 256 songs. (this is similar to bug 114451, may be the same problem) Thanks! I love amarok!
I can confirm this bug with a 3G ipod using 3.1 firmware. I suffered from this problem with previous versions of gtkpod and contacted Jorg (the author) he managed to fix the problem (for me the solution is unknown). It is clearly a problem residing how the iTunesDB is written and parsed and not to Amarok itself. The natural next step would be to ask Jord how he managed to fix this. Contact him at: jcsjcs at users dot sourceforge dot net
I do have the same problem with my new iPod nano 4GB. Everything works fine, as long as the number of files is less then 257. It seems the db is restricted to 256 files.
For 1.4, we will be using libgpod, so we forward all problems to them! :-) Should mean that these sorts of problems don't exist.
Same problem, running Amarok 1.3.5, Ubuntu Breezy (5.10) iTunesDB & iTunesDB.ext are also affected so that if I delete them, I am told that deleting file extends beyond EOF, and iPod set to read-only..
Same problem with an iPod Mini software 1.4 6GB and amarok 1.3.6 (Kubuntu 5.10): No more than 156 Songs :(
Same problem with an iPod 4G software 3.1.1 20GB and amarok 1.3.8 (Gentoo)
This just happened to me with a 2GB iPod Nano. This bug status is RESOLVED. Where to I find the resolution?
