Version: 1.3.3 (using KDE KDE 3.4.3KDE 1.2) Installed from: Gentoo PackagesGentoo Packages Compiler: 3.4.4 gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8) OS: Linux A feature that would be really great for amorok would be an mpd ( http://www.musicpd.org ) plugin. The best way this could be done would have a button or menu entry to connect to an mpd music server. Once connected the mpd library is used instead of the normal music library, certain features can be mapped to mpd commands (update collection -> update database). Obviously, some normal features would have to be disabled, such as editing tags. Now, playing files will result in them being played on the music server. When you disconnect amarok returns to normal. The icing on the cake would be having a check box to play files locally (mpd can be an icecast source). This might be tricky as it wouldn't be normal behaviour (playing the streamed music, but displaying the mpd playlist) Just wishing :) Thanks for all your work so far.
