Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.3) Installed from: Unspecified Linux Yesterday i updated from ubuntu 5.04 to 5.10 (and kde fra 3.4.2 to 3.4.3) and both suspend and hibirnate works perfectly on my laptop now(using klaptopdaemon). The only problem is that when i log into kde (this also happends on logout -> log in again) the laptop suspends while at the "initializing services or something (first icon)". I then have to start it up again and the login will then continue and everything is ok. So its no showstopper, just anoying (loosing 10sec or so). I have looked abit into it and it seems its the klaptop_check binary that is the problem. When i run it from konsole it will put my laptop into suspend. While i dont really know what the app is supposed to do i seriously doubt based on the name that that is the intended behavior. I dont really know whether i am using acpi or apm or whatever, but i am using what is default in kubuntu. Not knowing what more info you guys want i, here is some random info...
