Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.3.5 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5-r1, ssp-3.3.2-3, pie-8.7.7.1) OS: Linux I still use the command line a lot, and occasionally like to use Konqueror to browse the directory tree, and I'm nearly always just interested in a subtree, not the whole filesystem. So I create an alias like this: alias fm='konqueror --profile filemanagement file://`pwd`' The result is if I type fm from an xterm (from say ~/projects/project1/src/blah/blah) I get konqueror already looking at the current directory, without having to re-navigate down through the tree mousewise. BUT, the tree view on the left side of the window still is rooted at "Root Folder" with nothing underneath being expanded. The URL field has the correct directory path, so I simply need to put the cursor focus into the URL field and hit enter, and then the tree view will expand the directory hierarchy down to the current directory, and select the current directory. I would like it to just do this automatically when I start it in a particular directory.
In KDE 3.4.3 this is still broken.
In KDE 3.5.7 this is still broken.
Confirmed in KDE 4.4.5
