Version: 0.8.0-beta2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2) Installed from: Compiled From Sources OS: Linux On my computer, I use libgphoto2-2.1.6 for DigiKam. With DigiKam 0.7.3, I can see and select the camera "USB Mass Storage" in the camera list ((menu Camera->Add camera...), but with DigiKam 0.8.0-beta2, the same camera has disappeared from the list.
its called "Mounted disk" now.
Look my commit on svn to use a generic USB/FireWire Mass Storage Device name. http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/extragear/graphics/digikam/utilities/setup/cameraselection.cpp?rev=463003&view=diff&r1=463003&r2=463002&p1=trunk/extragear/graphics/digikam/utilities/setup/cameraselection.cpp&p2=/trunk/extragear/graphics/digikam/utilities/setup/cameraselection.cpp You must select "Mounted Camera" instead "USB Mass Storage" with 0.8.0. I have give more information in current digiKam handbook from svn, section "Supported Digital Still Cameras" Gilles Caulier
Tung, let's me hear if all is ok for you to close this bug. Thanks in advance. Gilles
Sorry Gilles, I forgot to give you a feedback: yes, I can now select the "Mounted Camera" in the camera list and download my photos with it. I think you can close this bug report. Thank you.
right... closed. Gilles
reopen? On my Kubuntu-Dapper-Build there is no "USB Mass Storage" and no "Mounted Camera" as well. (digikam 0.8.2.-rc1) I can only import pictures from the cardreader by importing a folder.
