Description Tung NGUYEN 2005-10-03 21:56:58 UTC
Version: 0.8.0-beta2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

Currently, when a new album is created, it has the same "Collection" field as its parent album. On the contrary, when a new album is imported (menu Album->Import->Import Folders...), it does not inherit the "Collection" field.

It can be useful that the imported album has the same collection as its parent album, especially in the album "View By Collection": after the import, you can see the new album remaining in the same collection as its parent (otherwise it is placed in "Uncategorized Albums").

That would be useful - creation of new albums in collection view often leads to "losing" them.

Since collections are going away in next release of digiKam (0.10) I am closing this file.
