Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.90) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.4.4 Gentoo 3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8 OS: Linux NOTE: I'm using KDE 3.5beta1, not alpha1! When I log in at http://wg.oriama.net/ with the default user data provided (which do not really exist), Konqueror will crash. This is, because there is a JavaScript that seems to crash KJS. When I deactivated the JavaScript (deleted the line that includes the script file), it worked. The JavaScript works fine in any other tested browser (Firefox, Opera, IE5-6). You can get this specific JavaScript at http://www.walterzorn.com/dragdrop/dragdrop_e.htm Greetz, freddy
Don't get a crash, but do get slowness on the wg. page, the script page works fine. Did you get a crash backtrace?
Well, no - the Konqueror window just hangs after I have clicked on "Anmelden". My only chance is to click on the window's close button and then I get a Warning *Window is not responding. Do you wish to terminate this application?* Which version of Konqueror are you using? I had not tested the script on a stable Konqueror (3.4.x), so it might work on older releases? freddy
Tip of 3.5 branch. But I get the little "script is hung up, would you like to abort it?" warning dialog. Anyway, this looks reasonably fixable (I fixed a lot of stuff like this before), but might not have time by 3.5..
I once got this "script hung up" message as well, but I think that was in KDE 3.5alpha1 - or any SVN, not sure... freddy
I cannot reproduce this bug here - im using yesterdays svn version of kde-3.5-branch. konqueror shows after pressing "Anmelden" a kind of overlay which is saying that login was refused - it seems that this is the correct behaviour.
Could anyone else also using KDE3.5-beta1 (best would be if you too had Gentoo patches applied) and tell us if you have the same problem?! freddy
Yeah, I think they changed something, should have made a testcase while it still was slow :-(
nothing can be done w/o having something to fix, sorry :-(
