Comment 1 Gianfranco Durin 2005-09-24 00:31:48 UTC
Sorry, I did not realize at the beginning but is the KDE panel (kiker) to crash. Logging as root does not give problems.
Comment 2 Gianfranco Durin 2005-09-24 00:39:57 UTC
Sorry again, these are the error reported in console:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
  what():  St9bad_alloc
kicker: crashHandler called
KCrash: Application 'kicker' crashing...
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
  what():  St9bad_alloc

------------------------------------------------------
The crash handler writes:
"The KDE Panel (kicker) crashed and caused a signal 6 (SIGABRT)

Hope this helps

You can workaround this by removing the history.lst file from wherever under .kde it is.
