Version: 2.0 (using KDE 3.4.2, Debian Package 4:3.4.2-3 (testing/unstable)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-1-686-smp I find the addition of MS Windows-like shift+numpad functionality useful, but unfortunately it does not work. I cannot get KDE to respect the checkbox's setting. To replicate: 1. Open Control Center 2. Navigate to Regional & Accessibility -> Keyboard Layout 3. Under "XKb Options", navigate to Miscellaneous Compatibility Options 4. Enable the checkbox labeled "Shift with numpad keys works as in MS Windows" 5. Click Apply. 6. The Apply button should now appear grayed out. 7. Click on another menu category (i.e., KHotKeys). 8. Click again on "Keyboard Layout" 9. The checkbox we enabled previously now appears disabled. It should have stayed enabled.
With the latest KDE version (past 3.5.2), it seems to work right.
I have kde 3.4.2. It's stated that this bug is already resolved. How do I fix this bug in my installation? Regards, Marcio.
