I started to experience strange behaviour of the file browser in KDE3.4. Konqueror in file browing mode is working fine, but in the window that appears when a KDE program asks for a file choice (e.g. chose file for attachment in Kmail or Open File in Kate) in the appearing pop-up window I see only directories but not individual files. When in the Choice panel I start typing the name of the file I know to exist in this directory, grey font prompts me for it, so somehow this window does know about the files. Maybe I have changed some settings somewhere but I cannot find now how to cure that. Maybe it's a kde bug. It seems this pop-up window is QFile::open module, but I maybe wrong.

do you use russian translation?

Do not know exactly what you mean by russian translation, but the locale is indeed Russian, so that the menu items are in Russian. But the file names are all latin.

This bug has been fixed, Please upgrade KDE (or stop using the Russian version).
