Description Jeremy Kerr 2005-09-13 03:27:10 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
Compiler: 3.3.5
OS: Linux

When accepting an iCal invite, the sending identity is set to the one which was used last, which may not be correct. For example, users with a 'work' and a 'personal' identity, having sent the immmediately-previous email with the 'personal' identity, will result in a 'work' invite response being sent from the 'personal' address. The response is sent immediately, with no opportunity to define the identity.

Ideally this should be set to the identity on which the invitation is received (or something in the identity configuration settings?). I like the current single-click-to-respond feature, so adding a dialog when responding may be suboptimal.

Additional info: using kubuntu (5.04) debs, but there's no option for kubuntu in the list.

Thanks!

jeremy

Is this still a problem with a recent kmail version?

Seems to be fine with kmail 1.12.2, but I'm no longer using the 'sticky' feature with the sender identity. Feel free to close though.
