Version: Unbekannt (using KDE 3.4.2 Level "b" , SUSE 9.3 UNSUPPORTED) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.4-21.8-bigsmp when entering a new todo item the resources box pops up with 2 entries "standard rsource ...". after accepting 2 items are added. deleting 1 item deletes both. adding a subitem to 1 item adds to both.
This bug is CONFIRMED - I get exactly the same behavior described in this bug report.
Do you still see this in kde 3.5.5? When I enter a new item no resources pop-up.

Thanks for reporting. Closing this bug now.
The cause of the double add is that the same file is referenced by duplicate resources. It's still in 3.5.5, as well.
I found this bug in Fedora5 and only for the first time run kontact. If I del /root/.kde/share/config/kresources/calendar, and restart kontact, this bug will never appear. The version is 3.5.5.
still there in kubuntu 8.04 Many duplicates... I'd call this confirmed It's extremely annoying and is a deal breaker. Most people just won't put up with this and move on to other probably cruddier organizers... I mean, I look at Korganizer and it looks awesome.. but I can't use it. Maybe it's the kubuntu team, but I can't get to launchpad.net It's not a problem with my kontact 1.2.9 on kde 4.01 on knoppix 5.3 dvd
still in kubuntu 8.10 (fresh install)
Reassign to the product owner.
This bug is still valid in kde-4.1.3 (Arch Linux). However, deleting .kde4/share/config/kresources/calendar did indeed solve the problem. It deletes all duplicate entries nicely. The strange thing is though, that the file is recreated after a restart. I guess the values have changed then. It seems to me the file gets somehow corrupted when created the first time.

Isn't bug 140041 a duplicate? It is fixed recently. Perhaps this one can be closed as well?
(In reply to comment #13) > Isn't bug 140041 a duplicate? It is fixed recently. Perhaps this one can be > closed as well? Besides that, this bug doesn't exist in kdepim 4.6. There was a similar one in akonadi's first run, but volker fixed it.
