Version: 0.10.91 (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources When you have selected a photo in the global identity configuration, there are no way to remove/change back to no photo.
Created attachment 12480 [details] Enabling or disabling of global photo A quick mocup showing a possible UI for enabling and disabling of global photo.
has this been fixed? I couldn't figure out what he meant by this.
It's still present in Kopete 0.10.92 (svn revision 463997) I'll try to give a better explanation. In configure->identity you can select "Enable global identity" You can then define things like global nickname and a photo to use with it. In the photo tab there are 3 radio buttons for selecting photo from different sources. Custom, Address book and from contact. Initially the radio buttons has no selection. If you want to use some picture, you can select custom and use the fileselector to choose one. The problem are, if you at some later point decide to not having a photo associated with the identity. There is no way to select no picture. There is no way to go back to not having a photo in the identity.
Tried modifying ~/.kde/share/config/kopeterc ? [GlobalIdentity] useAvatar=false Since we're in string freeze this won't be fixed in the configuration dialog soon.
Much has changed in the configuration dialog in the KDE4 version, but adding and removing/dissable picture was possible. Closing.
