Description Will Kamp 2005-08-31 17:29:20 UTC
Version: 4.5.2 (kind) (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

It is a known bug that kpilot will crash when changing "Settings-->Configure Kpilot" if net:any is set has the Pilot device.

However "killall -9 kpilotDaemon" will free up kpilot to be configured as normal. kpilotDaemon will need to be started again after configuration.

I suggest that kpilot stop the kpilotDaemon during configuration. And that it restart the service after.

I've never programmed. This seems like it would be a simple fix.

Hi Will!!

I believe we have fixed this in the latest (not-yet-released) version of kpilot. If you are able to help us test this and make sure it's ready for release, I'd GREATLY appreciate it!! =:) If you're interested, please look at http://kpilot.org/develop.php or stop in on #kpilot on freenode irc and we can help you get set up and help us test. =:)

thanks for the bug report!!!
