Version: 1.3 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Since hardware mixer option has been removed from amaroK, i find it really unusable. I always have to go in kmix to change my pcm volume, really annoying. One more, software mixer is slow. Has xine api have XINE_PARAM_AUDIO_VOLUME and XINE_PARAM_AUDIO_AMP_LEVEL, hardware mixer can be available in xine plugin. Kaffeine works like this. Thanx!
Created attachment 12397 [details] Hardware mixer for xine engine I just write a patch for amaroK that enable hardware mixer in xine engine configuration. Any comment is welcome.
Hi :) Could any of the devs take a look at this? I know that you're not fond for the idea of a hardware mixer but really many users would like it, including me... Look here: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110865 http://amarok.kde.org/component/option,com_simpleboard/Itemid,/func,view/catid,9/id,7083/#7083 Of course it could be optional, compilation or runtime. Most of players / multimedia programs use the PCM device, why amaroK can't? Pleeeeease... Regards, Maciek
