Description Artemio 2005-08-20 20:49:03 UTC
Version: 3.4.2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
Compiler: gcc 3.4.3
OS: Linux

Very often Konqeuror tries to access the web site by the IP of the site I viewed previously. For example, I was viewing web site fantomized.info and it is located on host h8.prohosting.com.ua (IP = 67.19.247.100). Then I followed a link on some other site, Konqueror shows it's correct URL in the address bar but I get a 404 error and "...Apache 1.3 (UNIX) at h8.prohosting.com.ua"!

Then today, I googled some info, and followed a link in google. Konqueror shows the URL correctly, but I get a 404 error from google! Konqueror again uses google's IP address instead of resolving the host name that it actually should. I will attach an example screenshot.

See the URL in address bar and see the 404 error from Google.

I've never seen this problem.

The first problem doesn't look like a bug. The second one I can't begin to describe.

This looks like my ISP's DNS server problem, seems to be fixed now. Closing the bug.
