Description Dik Takken 2005-08-16 21:53:39 UTC
Version: 0.7.3 (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

The website of the inpainting algorithm:

http://www-sop.inria.fr/odyssee/research/tschumperle-deriche:02d/appliu/

shows how you can mark a pair of glasses and remove them from somebody's head.

The DigiKam image editor could implement this when it supports selecting parts of an image by painting: Every stroke is a new selection that is added to the existing selection, until the user clears the current selection.

Maybe I should report a seperate wishlist for selecting-by-painting?

I definitely think this is a good idea, well, I think it's a good idea for that site to be carefully looked into.

No, Dik. New selection tools need to be added to image editor and multiple selection at the same time need to be implemented.

We will do it later 0.9.0.
