Version: SVN (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: Unspecified Linux OS: Linux Simple Interactive Object Extraction or in short "SIOX". It's a neat method to segmentate and select interesting parts of an image. You'll find informations here: http://www.siox.org/ http://www.siox.org/downloads/tr-b-05-07.pdf As there's already an implementaion for The Gimp - you might want to test it. For me it seems to be an interesting way to extempt "things" inside an image. This 'wish' is a kind of reminder - as i already had contact with Boudewijn about this item...
Michael Thaler has started working on this :-)
Sounds great :-)
Inkscape has also made use of SIOX to improve the results gained from potrace. If you do implement SIOX support you might want to keep in mind Karbon may want to reuse it. (There is a bug report requesting potrace support in Karbon.)
Work has started in origin/krita-siox-bruno_moraix -- but there's no gui yet.
WISHGROUP: Stretchgoal The gui for lazy brush probably is going to be relevant for the gui for siox.
